MITUBACI TOKYO is a modern rustic space that specializes in handmade wedding bands workshop. Our half-day ring making workshop enables you to create and complete your one-of-a-kind wedding bands in around 3 hours! Tanzō forging—the forging method applied throughout this workshop—ensures the durability of your wedding jewelry to last a lifetime. Moreover, you get to experience hand engraving on your rings for free! With the support of artisans who specialize in made-to-order jewelry, please be assured that you are in good hands.
THE MAKING
Time required: 3 to 4 hours
You may take your rings home on the very same day!

Choosing Materials, Widths, and Design
We will walk you through our samples and guide you in choosing your preferred material, ring width, designs, and finishes for your rings.
Engraving
You may opt for free engraving methods like metal stamping! Our metal stamp engraving comprises alphabets, numerals, and original icons. Before working on the actual engraving, we will provide you with a silver bar to practise.
Shaping
After completing your engraving, you will start shaping the metal bar into a ring. This process requires strength and support, hence you and your partner may need to help each other out.
Soldering
Once the ring is rounded, excluding Platinum, you will solder your ring under the guidance of our craftsman.
Texturing
Depending on the design of your ring, texturing or lathe machine-cutting will come next. If you chose a plain finish, polishing will be done at this stage.
Sanding & Polishing
At this stage, you will work with several tools to smoothen and polish the surfaces of your ring.
Completion!
Your ring is completed! If you wish to set a diamond or birthstone on your ring, our artisans will work on them at the end, and you can take them home on the same day!
REASONABLE PRICING
MITUBACI is committed to reasonable and straightforward pricing. The factors that determine the price are the ring's ring width and the availability of options. We do not charge additional fees based on the type of material or surface finish, the type of lettering (hand-engraved or machine engraved), or market fluctuations in precious metal prices. All prices include tax. Larger sizes: 10% increase for sizes 20.5 to 25, 20% increase for sizes 25.5 to 30, and please consult us for custom orders for larger sizes.

TEXTURES & FINISHES
Personalize your handmade wedding bands with textures! Our most popular texture is the hammered texture. While the mirror finish is the long-time classic, textured finishes are preferred for they evoke a sense of craftsmanship and individuality.
Plain
The mirrored finish is a timeless classic. It may look simple, but a lot of work goes into achieving a beautifully polished look! The sense of satisfaction lies in watching your jewelry shine after repeated sanding and buffing. The color of the gold is emphasized when matted.
Hammered
With reflections like shimmering water surfaces, this is the most popular texture. This texture is created with a round-tipped hammer. Every piece of jewelry has a unique pattern as it is formed depending on how one wields the hammer. A matted hammered surface gives it a subtler appearance.
Foresta
Reminding one of the forests and trees, foresta texture is achieved using a hammer with a flat tip. A wider ring gives a closer resemblance to the tree trunk. Polished or matte, this texture is perfect for those who want a nature theme wedding band.
Snowflake
A texture resembling a snow flurry. This texture is best matched with platinum but also looks glamorous in gold. Choose to polish your ring for an emphasized look or mattify for a gentle glow.
Frost
This texture resembles frost on the window in winter. Achieved using a specially made hammer, every ring with the frost texture is one-of-a-kind as the pattern forms differently in the hands of different people. Keep the surface polished to enhance the texture, and mattify it for a subtle finish.

Stella means star in Italian, and as its name suggests, this texture resembles the captivating raining stars. Combine it with stones of your choice for an even more personalized look.

Just like other workshop menu at MITUBACI TOKYO, customers may engrave their names and initials, special dates, or even messages at no additional cost. Customers can choose between hand engraving with metal stamps for an enhanced handmade vibe or an authentic engraving machine for a neater result.
In addition, laser engraving add-ons allow you to irradiate Japanese, Chinese, emojis, or handwritten characters on your jewelry.

Yes! Most of our customers do not have prior experience in jewelry-making. Our artisans will guide you through and help you with the more difficult processes.

Yes, all handmade jewelry courses are designed so that you can take them home on the same day, even if you are traveling or otherwise have limited time. Workshops that can be completed on the same day, even with the addition of diamonds, birthstones, and other options, are rare in Japan, and are unique to MITUBACI TOKYO, where artisans are always on hand.

MITUBACI's interior is designed to create an environment that allows all visitors to feel relaxed and to be able to engage in casual conversations with our artisans during the workshops.
